Frugale Tabitha. Tiramisu.
This is one of the nicest things I have ever tasted! Harper and Scarlett were here when it was served and both tried a tiny mouthful. After that they all almost just did a face plant into it. All of us had the same reaction!
This is a bit like making lasagne. After making it once, it's very easy. The first time you need to go step by step. But it is so spectacular that it is worth it.
So here goes, instructions from Tabitha.
Her notes are use a good quality Mascarpone. Name brand isn't good. She likes Tatua. But there are other good brands.
Beat egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick.
Add vanilla and mascarpone.
The Savoiardi biscuits are also called Lady Finger biscuits. I have seen you can even get gluten free ones.
Without Tabitha I would not even think of attempting this but she has convinced me. It is so divine!
It is warm outside and hence I am catching up with posts! Now... I need to catch up with some replies!
Thank you Frugale Tabitha!!xxx

Thank you Tabitha for sharing your recipe. I haven't thought of lady fingers in years and don't know if they're available here any longer. If and when I find them, I'll give this dessert a try. Linda
